Come See Us at NCEA 2011 on Thursday

Tuesday, April 26th, 2011

If you are at NCEA 2011 and you’ll be there on Thursday morning, come see up give our talk on this Thursday morning at 9am in room 230.

Yours truly and CSWD co-author Lance Johnson will be talking about how you can create an effective online web presence. You don’t need to be technically minded at all to get things out of our session. In fact, we aren’t talking about technical things at all – we are talking about the problems, goals, situations, and solutions that you deal with when creating a website for a Catholic school no matter what your role in the process is.

We’ve structured the presentation into a top 10 most important things that Catholic schools should know about building a website.

We hope to see you there!

Catholic School Web Design at NCEA 2011

Monday, September 20th, 2010

I’m pleased to announce that Catholic School Web Design is going to be giving a talk at NCEA 2011 next April in New Orleans!

Our talk is called “Building the Next Generation of Catholic High Schools Online”, and it will be an overview of our assessment of the current state of Catholic school presence on the web, and what people within those schools can do to address common problems and hurdles.

Myself and Lance Johnson will be giving the talk, and will be present when the conference happens April 26-28 2011. We’ll be on Twitter throughout the two-day event, so keep an eye out, say hello, and make sure to put our talk on your schedule! Well, once we know when it will be.

Welcome to Catholic School Web Design!

Catholic Schools face a unique challenge on the web. While many websites have singular goals, Catholic Schools are tasked with creating online presences that act as a public and selling tool, a donation solicitation method, a communication tool to reach parents and students, and an information house for classroom materials and other vital materials.

For any organization, creating something that serves all these purposes is a daunting challenge. And yet, there are precious little resources available for the groups tasked with making these sites a reality and managing them on a day to day basis.

That’s why we started Catholic School Web Design (CSWD). Our goal is to bring you a mix of information that is useful, informative, and catered specifically to Catholic Schools.
